What exactly are BCAAs and how important are they to a weight lifter?

big question there. branch chain amino acids. they are the essential amino acids you need. i take them before and after working out. it wont be a huge diff when using them but they help with recovery and building of your muscles. im sure dinoiii can pop in with a much more in depth responce

Are BCAAs taken every day or just on training days?

Most definately every day. You can have them in between meals, or toss them into your protein shakes if you get bulk powder. It will keep up protein synthesis.
