I've never been one to fall asleep very easily. I spend most nights tossing and turning before I eventually end up falling asleep. I don't know if its that I have so much on my mind, stress, etc. I'm just curious what would be a good supplement to help fall asleep quicker and easier. I know ZMA and Phenibut are good candidates. But, I've taken ZMA before with no such effect. I've heard melatonin works well for this, but I also heard that its not so great for you.

On a sidenote, while on my last cycle of AF MethylSTAK, I could fall asleep within like 5 minutes of putting my head down on the pillow. Absolutely amazing. All supporting supps were same as other cycles I've taken, so I could rule those out...

Melatonin gives me horrible headaches. Phenibut works wonders for me.

Rather they treating the symptoms you may be better off figuring out why it's so hard for you to fall sleep. Attack the problem itself.

I have heard of tons of people getting to sleep faster and getting much deeper sleep on Reset A.D.

Adrenal fatigue is many many times related to bad sleep patterns.

I can attest to the Reset A.D. helping with sleep. Even after working out I would be awake till after 1 in the morning and have trouble waking up. Since I started a week ago I'm sleeping around 11ish and waking up easier and feel better as well.

I am quite the adrenaline junky....

But that adrenal fatigue part reminds me of the Toyota (I think its Toyota) pick-up truck commercials that they used to have out. Funny shit.

So Phenibut (which I wanna try for studying anyhow) and Reset A.D. I'll have to pick a little of both up and give it a try. Any other suggestions? Maybe I could get lucky and get a dinoiii (search hit) suggestion... :o

Heh, I am actually throwing the phenibut in the mix next week. Maybe tomorrow because I heard the sleep is nasty. Like a real real deep sleep, and the alarm clock is my only way of waking up, and that isn't always a gaurentee wake up call, until my parents get back from their trip in 2 weeks.

For phenibut, you can go with caps or powder. DA carries the bulk powder but phenibut powder tastes like a%s. SNS makes 500 mg pheni caps.

Phenibut for me isnt that hard to wake up from. What I like is that it helps me go to sleep and keeps me asleep through the night.

I use SNS Phenibut for a while now and it works great. My main problem as well was just getting to sleep. I only use it on the days I need to get the sleep like workdays. What really helped was taking 2 caps - 2 hours before you want to be asleep. Do this and you should beable to put your head down and the next thing you hear is your alarm.

I'm in the same boat as you. Sleep don't like me. Phenibut could put some people to sleep but for us, it helps a little bit. Melatonin is the same way. I know my sleep patterns are much better when I meditate and stop caring about stupid things.

APL Powder is what I get for cost efficiancy. Just 1-2 scoops in a small amount of water or green tea. Take it like a shot and chase it. Its not that bad. Advil PMs help but don't take very many too often. I developed a tolerance. :(

Thats cause when you work out your heartrate goes up and may stay up for a while. When your BP is higher its hard to sleep. I had issues like you and I started checking my BP and sure enough it was what was keeping me awake.

Now I try to train earlier in the evening a let my body have a chance to relax. If that doesnt work, FLOG THE DOLPHIN

PS - I'd avoid melatonin, ive heard all sorts of nasties about it

I agree with dan though.

1 question, when you take these supps or try new ones to help send you off to dream land, do you, for a moment, have the thought or asked yourself will it work.. or while in bed, asking will i fall asleep soundly tonight?

Treat the root, not the cause.

Not saying you're wrong, but my workout time is the exact same time as it has been.

But today was my first phenibut shot, just some bulk powder. I'm fighting to keep my eyes open, and it is giving me a good calming feeling all over. But like Nem said it may not help you out. And the bulk powder has a nice taste to it, very tart like acidic tart.

I would buy a bottle of Powerfull. I used it a while back and the only thing i noticed was better sleep. Its on sale right now too, $19.99!
