Hey guys,

I've been going around in the forums and I guess I need some help.

Currently im taking:

Pre-workout--NO3 Z CG9 (Powder)
Post-workout--Muscle Milk (32G Protein)

I'm 18, 200 Lb, 5 '11. Please give some suggestions on what to take to get bulkier/stronger.

Responses are greatly appreciated;)

Muscle milk has too much fat in it for a post workout shake. I would stick to a good whey protien shake. Fat is going to slow down your absorbtion of the protien. Also you want to take in a bit more simple carbs right after your workout to get that insulin spike to help shuttle in nutrients, maybe get some waxy maze. Also if you could post your full daily diet that would help alot.

Use Muscle Milk before you go to sleep at night.

Post up the rest of your diet.

add some creatine, go with Green Magnitude, its at a great price, esp. for the servings in each tub

I agree with everyone else. Try dymatize Elite or Optimum 100% whey and use 2 scoops after your workout with ~50-60g carbs (a whole wheat bagel is a nice option).

Use the muscle milk throughout the day when you need some calories or before bed.

Adding a creatine would be helpful. Look at Man CLOUT if you have the money. Green Mag by controlled labs as B-nat recommended is cheaper - i know I was penny pinching when i was your age

My diet isn't really that great.

I never eat breakfast, on lunch I always try to get chicken or some type of meat in. Then dinner I would usually take in a can of tuna. About 2 hours after dinner is when I go to the gym.

EDIT: The $ diff between Green Mag and Man Clout is barely any($3). I guess clout would be the way to go. Adding in with Whey protein, would be anything I can take other than creatine to get a better effect?

Thanks

Yea but for 3$ less you get 30 more servings. That's B suggested it for price/Servings. Plus I like it a lot, but I haven't used Clout so don't know bout it.

For pre-workout that is one of the fav's around the forum here. I haven't tried it yet personally but I do plan on purchasing it this week with my bonus I got from work.

Ya, I guess people like the taste also, which is a big plus.

Other than an ABB RTD 50, for post-workout. Any recommending anything else?

you can use WMS if you want to add BCAA or other aminos into it. Or just go with 2 scoops of protein and a whole wheat bagel

Xtreme Formulations ICE was a good bcaa prod for me

I like Xtreme Formulations too, but Primaforce/Scivation recently began selling the backbone stack here. You get the large Xtend AND a tub of Substance WPI for $47. If you're in the market for BCAA's, you'd be a fool not to buy this stack!

I highly recommend green mag, some tasty stuff, best bang for the buck I have ever seen.

You really should consider adding a few more shakes during the day at the very least. Or perhaps adding a can of tuna in the AM, with a bagel, then a shake 2 hours later. Then push your lunch back till around 1 or 2 (if you can) if not then perhaps the shake after dinner.

Smash is killer, however it sounds like your working out later in the evening, if this is true it might keep you up at night. However I must say, smash is killer and if you want to go nuts while your working out take this stuff. I might suggest trying on an evening when you can sleep in the next morning. Just in case it keeps you up later than normal.

I would ditch the NO product way to much money for what you get( in my opinion) I would use the following supplements: A protein blend of fast, medium, and slow digesting proteins,CEE,Whey isolate for post workout, and either WMS or dextrose/malto for post workout also.
If you have problems sleeping try GABA for cheap and works good.

what everyone is telling you is good advice. but when i was your age, i was just taking a good multi. vit (mega man by gc is good), a good creatine (i took a monohydrate at the time because CEE had not been around yet) and a solid protein. 3 most important times to take a protein is right after you work out, before bed and right when you wake up. i would eat a lot of egg whites as well. there's about 7 g's of protein/egg white. although, your body will take a little longer to break the egg whites down as opposed to a good whey shake. as far as protein goes, try Optimal Nutrition's gold series. if your looking to gain weight, i took a lot of pro-lab's n-large 2. 10 lbs isn't that expensive, but it won't last you long. serving size is 4 scoops but i never took over 3. mainly i just stuck to 2. anyways, those are just thoughts. but whatever you end up taking, be sure to drink plenty of water. hope that helps, bro.

Some good info here, don't get a weight gainer though, too much sugar, mix your own special sugary blend. and the egg whites (dependent on egg size, my ex. is a large) are about 3.5-4g/egg white
