You could get to 185 merely by eating 4,000-4,500 calories per day and about 360 gs protein per day.

Diet is key bro! If you took in 4,000+ calories a day along with a sufficient amount of protein/carbs you could easily gain 10+ pounds in 8 weeks.

Yeah diet is the key no matter what. Just make sure your diet is not full of 4000 kcals of junk. Use lean cuts of meat, lots of veggies, good fats like olive oil. Make sure you get at least 8 hours sleep. Minimize the amount of cardio you do. If you almost 18 you could look into something like X Factor or even Mass FX both are great products.

Id stick with weight gainers. It worked for me in high school and I didnt have near the quality ones that they have today.

He's doing this for a sport so I would keep cardio. Just make sure you compensate for any calories burned by eating even more.

You need all the carbs and protein you can get. Not that I wouldnt suggest xfactor or massfx, I dont really believe at this stage of his lifting career he should do these supplements. Stick to proper training, eat the heck outta food (weightgainers), and hit the creatine. Try monohydrate creatine instead of the CEE ( NOT SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT CEE HERE), if you respond as many of my counterparts have, you will put on all kinds of size with the mono.
Any other questions ask, Ive been there...
