Is there exercises that will help my lower back to get stronger? I am trying to increase my deadlifts and squats, but it seems my lower back is slowing me down.

How do you know it is your low back? May well be, but for many it is a weak posterior chain which includes the hamstrings. Where does your SQ and DL stall? -top, bottom, middle-This will give you an idea where you need the work most. Also, look at technique. This may not be optimal if one group is weak.
There are many good low back: GM's, hyperextension, pull throughts, Romanian DL etc. Must include ab work as well. No core strength-no progress.

Hey Sonny I added h-exts and goodmorns to my routine today.I don't have a problem with SQ & DL. I just seem to have reached a plateau
I use Bill Starrs 5x5 Routine since January
Mon-SQ,BP,BOROW 5x5(ramping weight)
Wed-SQ(25% less than Mon 5th set), DL and Mil Press-5x5(ramping up)
Fri-Same as Mon. but 5th set I add 10lbs(2 5lb plates).I also superset(3x8) Cg chins/wtd dips
***Is this routine OK or can you recommend a new routine***
Thank You
Joe

No program is better than another for each person. The best training program is one that you design for yourself-strengths and weakness. Starr is good with high frequency and a lot of volume. I cannot take the punishment-too old and worn out I guess-lol! Program was designed off of the old Soviets-check out Shieko-similar if you want to change it up and still have the frequency and volume.
We all plateau, it is inevitible; but then at that point we need to find something to break though. I am sure that program has given some great gains in strength and an even greater foundation.

my coach and I have been using alot of isometric work for the lower back and that is doing me wonders 45 degree raises for 60 seconds with bands... i already have a very powerful lower back do to many years lifting with a rounded back (boo hiss) i know not smart but it made my lower back what it is today.. i do not recomend this nor condone it but it worked for me and put me at risk but it worked... i recomend the isometrics.. and some oblique work to... they are usually quite connected again isometricly though.
also what is your style of pull and style of squat that makes some but not an extreme difference

how has your strength and size been progressing? 6 months is a good time - I got much stronger on it and more dense.

Strength has increased alot, but now I seem to have reached a plateau on all my lifts.Ialso added a solid 15lbs body weight.I think this program is excellent.
